Microsoft Power BI Developer

Exp:  4 – 6 years

Location : Ahmedabad (Science City Road)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop optimized data models using Power BI and Power Query.
• Write complex DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Power Query and ETL processes.
• Work with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and other data sources.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Integrate Power BI with ERP, CRM, APIs, Excel, Azure, and other business applications.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and appropriate access controls.
• Publish, manage, and maintain reports and datasets in Power BI Service.
• Configure scheduled refreshes, gateways, workspaces, and deployment processes.
• Monitor report performance and optimize datasets, DAX calculations, and queries.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, technical teams, and business users.
• Troubleshoot Power BI and data-related issues and provide timely support.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow established development standards.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX. Strong experience with Power Query (M).
• Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, star schema, relationships and dimensional modeling. Experience with Power BI performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Power BI Gateway, scheduled refresh, RLS, workspaces and deployment pipelines. Experience working with multiple data sources and APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365/Business Central data.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and data integration.
• Experience with enterprise BI architecture. Microsoft Power BI/Fabric certification is an advantage.
